TaskTimer Plus ("the App") is a simple task timer application published by JTR Labs LLC. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
Data Collection
TaskTimer Plus does not require an account, and JTR Labs does not operate a server that receives your timer content. The Android version released without ads does not display advertisements or request an Android advertising ID. If you use an ad-supported version, the App uses Google AdMob to provide banner advertising. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process the following data in that version:
- Identifiers: Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier when tracking permission is granted.
- Location: Coarse location estimated from the device's IP address.
- Usage data: Ad views and interactions, app launches, taps, and other product interactions.
- Diagnostics: Crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information.
Google may use this information for third-party advertising, advertising measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and service functionality. TaskTimer Plus does not send reminder titles, timer durations, favorites, or history to Google.
What the App Stores Locally
- Reminders: Task names and timer durations you create are stored on your device using local storage.
- Settings: Your notification and snooze preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Favorites: Frequently used task names are stored locally for your convenience.
Your reminder titles, timer durations, stopwatch records, history, favorites, and preferences stay on your device and are not sent to the developer or Google AdMob.
You can delete individual tasks and clear history in the App. On Android, clearing the App's storage in system settings removes its locally stored data. Uninstalling the App also removes its local data; device backup and restore services may retain copies under your device account settings.
Device Features and Permissions
The App uses local notifications and, on supported iOS versions, AlarmKit to alert you when a timer or scheduled reminder completes. These alerts are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. Live Activities may show an active countdown on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. No push-notification server is involved.
On Android, notification permission lets the App show timer and reminder alerts. Exact-alarm permission schedules alerts at the time you choose, vibration supports alert feedback, and restart handling restores scheduled notifications after a device reboot. These features do not send your task content to a server.
Advertising and Tracking
The initial Android release does not display ads or request an Android advertising ID. Ad-supported versions use Google AdMob to serve non-personalized or contextual banner ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud, and measure aggregate ad performance. On iOS, TaskTimer Plus asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before the Google Mobile Ads SDK is initialized. If you decline, all timer and reminder features remain available and Google does not receive access to the iOS advertising identifier from the App. Non-personalized ads may still use limited device information for delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregate reporting.
Android build 3 and later add AdMob banner ads and a permanent, one-time Remove Ads purchase through Google Play. These Android builds do not request the Android advertising ID. Google may still process other device identifiers and the advertising data described above. Before requesting ads, the App checks Google's User Messaging Platform consent requirements and presents the applicable consent form. You can revisit available regional choices under Settings > Ad privacy choices.
You can change tracking permission later in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. Purchasing Remove Ads prevents banner ads from being loaded after ownership is confirmed by the applicable store. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. The App checks purchase status to unlock ad removal; JTR Labs does not receive your payment-card details. Purchases are specific to the store account and platform where they were made.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob processes advertising data under Google's privacy terms. Learn more at Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information for advertising.
Data Sharing
The developer does not sell your timer content or personal information. Advertising-related data may be processed by Google as described above when the ad-supported version is in use.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. JTR Labs does not knowingly collect children's personal information. Google AdMob's handling of advertising data is governed by Google's policies and any applicable regional consent requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App or on this page with an updated effective date.
