Privacy Policy
ZenSquish is free and supported by ads. We don't run our own servers, accounts, or analytics: your sessions, creations, and unlocks live only on your device. The ads are provided by Google AdMob, which collects some device data as described below. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns all of that off.
What we collect
JTR Labs collects nothing. ZenSquish has no accounts, no sign-up, no email collection, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of our own. We don't receive or store any information about you.
All progress — your XP, streaks, unlocked materials, custom creations in Studio, mindfulness session count, preferences, and whether you've removed ads — is stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Nothing syncs to a cloud we control.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
ZenSquish shows a banner on some screens and an occasional full-screen ad after you end a session. Ads are never shown over the squish toy itself or during breathing exercises. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect and process:
- device identifiers, including the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- ad interaction data (which ads were shown and tapped) and diagnostic information about ad performance.
Google uses this data to serve, measure, and improve ads, and to prevent fraud. See How Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience.
Your choices
- App Tracking Transparency. ZenSquish asks once whether it may use your Advertising Identifier. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", you'll see non-personalized ads. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- EEA, UK, and Switzerland. You'll be asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown, and you can decline. You can change your choice anytime from Profile › Ad privacy choices in the app.
- Remove Ads. A one-time purchase removes all ads permanently. Once ads are removed, ZenSquish stops loading the ad SDK and does not request tracking permission.
In-app purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles the transaction and any refunds. We never see your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID. Restore Purchases in the app restores it on a new device. Anyone who previously subscribed to ZenSquish Pro is ad-free automatically.
Permissions ZenSquish may request
- App Tracking Transparency — to allow personalized ads, as described above. Optional.
- Haptic feedback — used to make the blob feel responsive in your hand. No data leaves the device.
ZenSquish does not request location, microphone, camera, contacts, photos, calendar, reminders, health, or notification permissions.
Children's privacy
ZenSquish is rated 9+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions, email us at [email protected].
Your rights
We don't hold any personal information about you, so there is no account to delete or data for us to export. For data processed by Google for advertising, you can use the choices above or contact Google through its privacy policy. Data the app stores on your device is removed when you delete the app.
Changes to this policy
If we change what data is collected or how it's used, we will update this page and bump the version number at the top.
